Deaf Fighter Hamill Screwed by Blind Judges

UFC 75 - London, England

Outrage and disbelief was the feeling after the judges announced that Michael Bisping defeated Matt Hamill. What was even more amazing was when the 'Londoners' turned on their boy and began booing.

Hamill looked like he learned how to strike and frustrated the hell out of Bisping. Hamill got some early takedowns and let Bisping back up letting the fight play out on the feet. After 3 rounds of boxing and hockey punching type striking there was no doubt that Matt Hamill won.

After the announcement by Bruce Buffer of the winner, Michael Bisping jumped up and down. The English crowd which was definitely pro-Bisping began to boo showing their displeasure over the outcome of the match. During the post fight interview he showed little class not by not giving Hamill any respect and reiterating his dislike for his deaf teamate from the Ultimate Fighter 3. Hamill on the other hand was gracious in defeat which garnered him some cheers from the hostile London crowd.

Bisping got the victory but might have loss the respect of the English MMA fans. It will be interesting to see the reaction he gets next time he fights in the UK.

Hamill loss the bout but showed he's actually training boxing. I don't see him being a champion at 205 but if continues to progress he can become a viable contendor at his weight class.

Lesson: Beware of conflicts of interests.

Judges and officials are paid by the athletic commissions in the states that the UFC runs in but in England there is no athlectic commission so they were flown in from the states and paid by the UFC directly. There was a questionable decision and it went to the hometown fighter. Coincidence...... I think not!

Hamill was robbed. He was stronger and was the better fighter. It was pure greed to see the "Home fighter win"

in latin: Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

who watches the watchmen?

regulating the event you stage will not work.

UFC claims to embrace sanctioing but they continue to run in places with none.
